Announcing the first online scholarly journal for all those who design, research, teach, and assess contemplative and introspective practices in post-secondary settings The Journal of Contemplative Inquiry  The Journal of Contemplative Inquiry is a peer-reviewed, scholarly journal for all those who design, research, teach, and assess contemplative and introspective methods and practices in college and university settings. Contemplative and introspective practices cultivate a critical, first-person focus and create new opportunities for students to engage with course material. The Journal promotes the understanding, development, and application of these methods in order to serve a vision of higher education as an opportunity for cultivating personal and social awareness and an exploration of meaning, purpose and values. The Journal of Contemplative Inquiry will publish annual volumes online in *.pdf format. Members of the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education will be granted free access to the contents. Individual articles and complete volumes will be available for purchase by non-members. Manuscript submission is free for ACMHE members and $50.00 for non-members. For the 2013 volume, The Journal of Contemplative Inquiry is particularly interested in submissions from past presenters at the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education’s annual conferences. Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure you carefully read the guidelines provided below. Manuscripts not conforming to these guidelines may be returned. Submission is free for members of the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education (ACMHE) and $50.00 for non-members. There are no additional charges for publication. All submissions must be received by July 15, 2013. We will respond to authors on September 15, 2013. Volume I of the Journal will be published online in the fall of 2013. The Journal operates a blind peer review process. All submissions should be in Microsoft Word .doc or docx format The suggested word count is 3000-5000 words per article, with a maximum of 7500 words. Submissions require inclusion of an abstract of 150 words or less. Psychology of Consciousness:  Theory, Research, and Practice Announcing the creation of a new journal of psychology and consciousness. The journal will be official as of April 1st. A portal will be opened at that time for manuscript submissions, but earlier submissions are welcome. The fist few issues are considered critical for the journal, so first quality submissions will be highly valued.
